1. Optimizing Web Pages for Arabic Search
When it comes to Digital Advertising, it’s not always about spending! the paid side should be secondary to organic traffic, not the other way around.
It’s pointless to spend on search ads while your brand is not well know or trusted, for example we’ve seen dentist with 1.4 rating from 40 reviews on Google Maps, still spending hoping to get clicks! it has negative impact on your brand perspective before they engage with it! or ads landing on a 404 websites! it’s common sense yet many businesses in the middle east are doing it wrong!
The point of optimizing your Arabic Website is to increase brand awareness, recognition and exposure. your brand will be shown against your competition, if your using stock images, having bad reviews, slow webpages, unsecured content, and bad User Experience overall, do not spend a penny on Ads.
Get your On Page Optimization right, visit your site and test to make sure your customer’s journey is going smooth, set Goals and your on page Google Analytics properly, to asses user engagement, instead of spending ads you might have to spend on design or content depending on your business priorities, there is money on the line so make sure to invest wisely.
2. Set your Arabic SEO Strategy efficiently
Start with an Arabic SEO Audit, do not spend your digital marketing budget on a glamorous website that generates no traffic, get the technical issues solved then run a content analysis.
If you don’t have content there would be nothing to optimize, do your keyword research, a porper keyword map should have at least 50 keywords, you don’t have to go head to head for short tailed keywords with strong competitors, start with medium to low search volume and difficulty keywords, and build your authority from there, as your webpage gets clicks and engagement it will qualify your site for more difficult keywords in the future.
After implementing the right keyword strategy, and implementing content around -it’s considered a best practice to “Silo” the content- topical relevancy is a key here, if you have a page that talks about SEO for ex, it’s reasonal to have an Arabic SEO services page, and some blog posts to cover the main topic with all it’s subsidiaries around it which called content clusters, it’s detailed in our Blog as this Arabic SEO Guide not enough to enlist all.
Then it’s time for Backlink Audit, make sure that you have more than your average competitor Refering domain, better to be from high DA websites, and targeting the money generating pages on your site, also interlink your Arabic content pages together, blog posts with relevant topics, and cluster pages to pillar page, build your aiuthority and relevancy by producing high value content and acquiring natural SEO powerfull links around it.
3. Optimize for Arabic SEO searches considering accents
4. Optimizing On Page elements, not translating content
Arabic On Page SEO is crucial, it’s not only about the front end side, it’s important to optimize your page source tags too, not auto translating all and hoping for it to work, each page should a unique title, targeting specified search queries, try to balance your page names without cannibalizing other pages traffic, it’s not easy but must be done right.
Localize Arabic content instead of translating it, think of what terms are used by your audience, and try to get as exact as possible, it’s better to formulate your phrases even if it’s slightly different than your English pages, remember Arabic content should mainly target native speakers in Middle East and North Africa, while English is for English search queries from the same region or around the world.
it’s unfortunate that English content contribute ore to website authority compared to Arabic content, keep your Arabic blog posts at least 600 words, and aim for above 800 for English articles, more Arabic SEO guide to follow and list all elements for better ranking.
If you goal is to increase Domain Rank with more pages, then produce double the amount of content for Arabic, and try to acquire relevant links from Arabic News Publishers.
5. Arabic Local Search Engine Optimization
Local SEO is a must for businesses in the Arabic region, with the majority of the websites not much developed many search queries are returning Facebook, social media and map results instead of websites! that’s due to the lack of proper answers from Arabic websites, if your niche is showing similar results then it’s easy and you should dominate the rankings in few months.
Verify and Claim your Google My Business profile, implement a Local SEO Schema markup on site to better explain what your business is about for search engines to index your with the relevant results, choose your main business category wisely, after the last update you get more than 3k types of categories, make sure to choose the most relevant ones, up to 4 categories. captue pictures and upload them as customer and owner photos, also use My Maps and Google Street View to add 360 images.
